Refund to someone else
Sometimes money has to be paid back to someone other than the person whose name is on the bill — the heirs, for example. You then need to ask for a refund to someone else. Here is how.
When you need it
The most common cases
You need a refund to someone else when the person who should receive the money is not the account holder for the supply.
After an inheritance
The account holder has died and there are bills in credit. The heirs can ask for the money to be paid into their own bank account.
After a change of account holder
The previous account holder has left the home with money still owed back. It can be paid to whoever is entitled to it, using the right form.
How to do it
The form and the documents to attach
Get everything ready before you send it. With the documents complete, your request goes ahead and we do not have to come back to you for anything else.
What to attach
- The “Refund to someone else” form, filled in: you will find it on the forms page.
- For an inheritance: a copy of the declaration of succession (atto di successione) — the first 3 pages are enough — or a self-declaration in its place (dichiarazione sostitutiva).
- A copy of a valid identity document for every heir.
- If there is more than one heir: a written authorisation for the person who makes the request.
How to send it
- By email to info@lirabo.com, with everything attached.
- If you are unsure about the documents, call us on 051 226693: we go through them with you before you send anything.
The form is a PDF, and it is in Italian only. On the phone we answer in Italian too. Write to us at info@lirabo.com and we will help you fill it in.
