Your bill and how to pay it

Pay however suits you: automatically by direct debit, online with CBILL, at the post office with the payment slip, or at a partner payment point. Every option is here.

Where and how to pay

Choose whichever way suits you best

The amount and the due date are always on the front of the bill, in the highlighted box. How you pay is then up to you.

Direct debit

The way we recommend: the amount is taken from your account on the due date, with nothing for you to remember. Find out how to set it up.

CBILL from your online banking

You pay from your computer or from your bank's app, without going to a counter. You need two codes, and this is where people most often get stuck:

  • the company code S4346, which finds us in your bank's list, where we appear as “L.I.R.A. SPA”. It is always this one, for every bill;
  • the payment reference, printed on the payment slip attached to your bill. It changes with every bill: it tells the bank which bill you are paying.

The fee depends on your bank.

Postal payment slip

The slip attached to your bill comes ready filled in: you can pay it at any post office. The guide to the payment slip shows how it is laid out, in Italian only.

Partner payment points

Tills in participating Coop stores and Mooney points: take the slip along and pay while you do the shopping. The charge for the service is shown in the store.

Bank transfer

Use the bank details shown on the bill, and write the bill number and your account number in the payment reference. Without them, your payment is hard to match to your account.

A copy of your bill

If you sign up for the resident portal you can download the bills we have issued, free of charge, whenever you like. For a paper copy, ask our customer service — they deal with you in Italian.

Due dates and late payments

It is better to pay by the due date, and here is why

  • Once the due date has gone by with no payment, debt recovery begins. Administrative charges and late-payment interest are then added to your later bills.
  • If the bill stays unpaid for longer, we tell the building manager or the owner of the property.
  • With direct debit the question never comes up: the due date is met automatically.

Watch out for scams: L.I.R.A. never collects payments at your home. If somebody turns up at your door asking for money for a bill, do not pay. Call us straight away on 051 226693 — we answer in Italian.
